Compassionate ABA services shaped by education, creativity, and connection

At Elevating Potential, we believe therapy should feel encouraging, engaging, and connected to everyday life. Our goal is to help children build meaningful skills, confidence, and independence while supporting families every step of the way.

Our services are grounded in evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis while also embracing approaches that respect each child’s individuality, interests, and voice.

Founder Perspective

A teaching background that continues to shape every program

Before entering the field of behavior analysis, I spent nine years as a teacher. That experience continues to influence the way I approach ABA. In the classroom, I learned that children grow best when learning feels supportive, creative, and individualized.

That foundation is a big part of why I chose an approach centered on play, collaboration, and respect for the child. It allows programming to be thoughtful, flexible, and meaningful rather than one-size-fits-all.

Assent-Based Care

We believe children deserve to be heard. Our approach respects each child’s participation, communication, and comfort so therapy feels safe, supportive, and meaningful.

Play-Based Learning

Play creates natural opportunities for connection, communication, and growth. We use engaging, motivating activities to help children build skills in ways that feel enjoyable and age-appropriate.

Family Collaboration

Meaningful progress happens when families feel supported too. We work closely with parents through interactive coaching and practical strategies that fit real life routines.

Why Assent-Based Therapy Matters

Respect creates trust, and trust supports learning

Assent-based therapy means recognizing and respecting a child’s willingness to participate whenever possible. Instead of forcing participation, we pay attention to a child’s communication, body language, and engagement so we can respond in a way that supports comfort and connection.

This matters because children learn best when they feel safe, respected, and involved in the process. An assent-based approach can increase trust, reduce stress, improve motivation, and help create positive relationships with therapists that lead to more meaningful progress over time.

Why Play-Based Therapy Matters

Children build skills best through engagement, curiosity, and joy

Play-based therapy uses motivating, interactive activities to teach communication, social skills, independence, and daily living skills in ways that feel natural and enjoyable. Instead of relying only on highly structured tasks, we create learning opportunities within games, movement, routines, and the child’s own interests.

My background as a teacher showed me how powerful play can be in helping children stay engaged and confident while learning. That is one of the reasons I chose to build a model that values creativity, connection, and meaningful skill development rather than a rigid approach.

Collaboration With Families

Parent partnership is at the heart of meaningful progress

We believe therapy should never happen in isolation. Parents and caregivers know their child best, which is why collaboration is such an important part of our model. Through interactive parent training, we do more than simply provide information. We coach families in real-life situations, model strategies, offer feedback, and help build confidence using skills that can be carried into everyday routines.

Whether supporting communication, reducing challenging behaviors, strengthening routines, or building independence, parent training helps progress continue beyond therapy sessions. My educational background reinforced how important it is for learning to be consistent across settings, and that belief continues to shape the collaborative way we serve families today.

A Personal Note

This work is personal, purposeful, and built on connection

Elevating Potential was created from a desire to provide services that feel both clinically strong and genuinely supportive. I wanted to build a practice where children are respected, families feel involved, and learning is approached with patience, creativity, and heart.

My years in education taught me the importance of meeting children where they are and helping them grow through encouragement, structure, and meaningful relationships. That perspective continues to guide everything we do.
